Grand Opening Ceremony of 150 Symes Road

150 Symes Road For Website

The MBTW Group was in attendance at the grand opening ceremony of 150 Symes Road, with Mayor John Tory and Councillor Frances Nunziata.

This project centers around the heritage designated 1930’s building affectionately known as the ‘Destructor.’ The building was once used as an incinerator, then as a waste transfer station until its closure by the City in 1996. MBTW was closely involved with the client and the municipality in the revitalization of this historic and environmentally sensitive site. The first phase of this project will serve as the home of The Symes Event Venue and Junction Craft Brewing. This project sets an example for the creative and adaptive reuse of a historic brownfield site, meeting the evolving needs of the City.
