The MBTW Group attended the Markham Expo 150 Berczy Statue Dedication Ceremony, which occurred September 9th at Berczy Square at the northeast corner of Kennedy Road and 16th Avenue in Markham!

The statue will serve to celebrate William Berczy, an artist, community leader, and resident of Markham, and the unveiling marks the official opening of Berczy Square. Congratulations to artist Marlene Hilton Moore, who designed and created the monumental statue and pedestals!

We are proud to have been a part of the design and construction of the parkette and stunning clock tower feature, as well as the community urban design and landscaping for the broader “Upper Unionville Community,” which in 2015 won BILD’s “Places to Grow – Community of the Year – Low-Rise” award.
