The MBTW Group were originally retained by the Regional Municipality of York to develop an Accessible and Sustainable Trail Standards document identifying detailed multi-use design criteria and specifications, for York Regional Forest.

MBTW employed these standards to complete the detailed design and construction documentation of accessible trails in (4) York Regional Forest properties in the following YRF tracts:

1. Eldred King Woodlands Tract - 2.5km length

2. Hall Tract - 2.5km length

3. Hollidge Tract - 2.4km length

4. North Tract - 1.7km length

York Regional Forest Accessibility Trails system is the first fully accessible trail system designed and constructed for a Regional Municipality and currently under review for adaptation by the Province.
