The MBTW Group participated in a 3 day design charette and worked together with Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company to bring together the original vision and market realities for the Village of Niagara on the Lake. MBTW has since continued their involvement through Brookfield Homes from conceptual drawings to develop the physical design of the plan and as well as completed the draft plan with full support from the Municipality.

The community concept plan reflects a traditional village setting with tree-lined streets and pedestrian scaled streetscapes. A natural trail system for residents and visitors to enjoy the natural features of the community is proposed. Garages are accessed at the rear to create aesthetically pleasing streetscape and walkways that are uninterrupted by driveways. The mixing of uses and variety of building forms offer a higher regard for thetpublic realm.
