About the Project

A 32-storey luxury high-rise, 1 Thousand Bay is located at the busy corner of Bay Street and St. Joseph Street, a prime site for pedestrian activity. The building’s St. Joseph Street entrance is fronted by an inviting, public plaza flanked with seating and a series of custom asymmetrical planters aligned along the length of the Bay Street frontage. The streetscape design echoes the contemporary feel of the building’s architectural character through formalized paving, a clean planting scheme and elegant light fixtures.

The semi-private rooftop terrace borrows from the dramatic views of the surrounding downtown skyscape whilst providing a quiet and comfortable lounge space. Decked with a pool, the terrace acts as an extension of the indoor games room to serve the leisure needs of building residents. Custom amenities include a barbeque deck, a covered lounge area accompanied by a fireplace and a series of wood planters to mitigate the noise of streetscape below.
