About the Project
In early 2015, the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) announced that the Ontario Soccer Centre Stadium would undergo a major renovation in support of becoming the home field of Toronto FC II - the reserve team to Toronto FC of Major League Soccer (MLS). Under tight timelines, associated with the start to team’s inaugural season in the United Soccer League, MBTW was engaged as the lead designer for a new FIFA 2-Star certified playing field, field amenities, stadium surrounds and event day staging / functional design.
At the Grand Opening on August 30th,2015, the OSA officially welcomed spectators to the new, high quality, fan friendly, 2000 seat stadium.
