About the Project
Pier 27 is a multi-phased urban condominium project at the foot of Yonge Street on the Toronto Central Waterfront. The landscape design focuses on creating a series of visual and accessible north-south linkages to preserve and connect the project and the city with the Lake Ontario waterfront. Strategic incisions of water fearures are introduced throughout the site to reinforce that connection, including the linear pools in the two amenity courts.
The MBTW Group was retained by Cityzen Developments to provide full scope landscape architectural services including landscape-based coordination with a public artist Alice Aycock. MBTW was responsible for all landscape design within the site as well as a segment of the adjacent Toronto Waterfront Promenade.
