About the Project
Sited in the heart of the Union Station Precinct, the Telus Head Office complex streetscape has a unique and complex role in unifying the pedestrian realm for the revitalization of Union Station, the Air Canada Centre and energizing high density commercial/retail and residential parcels on Bremner Boulevard.
The MBTW Group was retained by Menkes Developments to provide full scope landscape architecture services to design and detail a new streetscape design for York Street and Bremner Boulevard as well as for the new Maple Leaf Square. The elements of paving, pedestrian lighting, street tree planting, and new street furnishings creates a new focus to the boulevard that now successfully accommodates daytime pedestrian activity and larger masses of pedestrians arriving to the Air Canada Centre. The MBTW Group was responsible for sub-consultant coordination, preparation of working drawings, costing, and contract administration.
