About the Project
Located in the City of Vaughan, Eagles Nest Golf Club is the newest golf course in York Region. Inspired by the old links in Scotland and Ireland, the golf course challenges golfers with craggy waste bunkers, sand dunes, sod wall traps and gnarly fescue. The surrounding undulations of the golf course and the gentle motion of the wind-swept fescue provided MBTW with the inspiration for a unique and memorable landscape design solution. As the lead Consultant for all aspects of the landscape architectural component of the project, MBTW skillfully used the landscape to blend and connect the golf course’s various facilities. These facilities include the 36,000 square-foot clubhouse, outdoor patio and dining areas, terraced garden, wedding garden, driving range and practice greens, halfway house and golf cart staging areas. The flowing, natural stone entry feature and gatehouse that defines the visitor's approach and arrival to the golf course is a highlight of the landscape that sets the tone for the experience to come.
